Johanna G. Kacsanek, 87, passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021.
Johanna was born in Akron on June 6, 1934 to Val and Julia Form. She was a lifelong area resident, a graduate of Garfield High School and retired from Roadway Express. She was also a member of Jednota Club Branch #553.
Johanna was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was everything to her. She was classy, kind and very generous; just a few of her many attributes. She was a very hospitable host and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Her specialties were making easter bread, preparing delicious Italian and Slovak meals and Shopping.
In addition to her parents and husband, George; Johanna was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Koncz and Kathleen Macchiarole; and grandson, Eric Dadich.
Johanna is survived by her children, Georgann (Jim) Lupinetti, Suzanne (John) Oprian, Julianne (David) Reed and George Michael (Vivian) Kacsanek; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Bettie Ruip; brother-in-law, Edward Kacsanek; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Per her wishes, a private service for the immediate family will be held. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
