Johanna P. Hartge

Johanna VanZeeland Hartge, 90, of Tallmadge passed away Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Care Center in Copley.
She was born in Eindhoven, The Netherlands where she met and married her late husband, Heinrich Hartge. She immigrated with her husband and two oldest daughters to Canada where her oldest son was born and then to the United States in 1957 where another son and two more daughters were to be born.
Johanna lived her life with a passion for birds and flowers and the age old European love of soccer. She was a member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death not only by her husband but her daughter, Bernadette , her son John, her daughter Catherina as well as son-in-law, Paul and daughter-in-law Vicki. She is survived by her son Henry (Lesa) Hartge of Cloverdale, VA, Anna Hartge of Akron and Pamela (Jay) Lawrentz of Tallmadge as well as eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 4, at 10:00 am at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Fr. Neil Crosby officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (At Third St., one block north of Portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls. Donations in Johanna's memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Copley, OH 44333.
