Joan Powell

Our beloved Joni passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2021.
She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. As a young child Grandpa Luxeder called her a Rosashonder (Clown). He was right! She was energetic, talked fast and never stopped moving. A teacher once caller her bubbly. She had a heart of gold and was very loving and forgiving. There is now a star that is no longer shining, a void that can never be filled.
She is survived by her husband Ed; daughters Alexis & Emily; parents William & Joan Hodson; siblings Debbie (Steve) Gough, Bill (Mindy) & Brian Hodson, and Lisa Davis, as well as many nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends from 12:45 pm until the time of the service.
