RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP - Joan Francis Grand, 90, passed away at the Inn at Apple Ridge April 10, 2026. Joan was a longtime resident of Tallmadge. A devoted wife and mother, Joan also worked in several departments of the administration of Kent State University during her 23 year career.
Joan was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, Eugene Grand; parents, Frederick (Ethel) Krause of Evansville, Indiana; and siblings, Carl Krause and Betty (Jim) Grand. Joan also leaves behind her children, Glyn (Pam) Grand, Janet Grand and Gary (Jeri) Grand; grandchildren, Leigha (Marcel) Esonwune, Holly (Matt) Grand, Katie (Sam) Grand, Bryan (Gabby) Grand and Jason (Jasmine) Grand; and great-grandson Wesley Grand.
Per Joan's wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
