Jerome "Jerry" Edward Nairne

Jerome "Jerry" Nairne, 70, passed away surrounded by his family on January 25, 2025.

Jerry was born March 12, 1954 to the late Chester Nairne and Lois Tremper in East Orange, NJ and was a 1972 graduate of Howland High School. He went on to become the owner and operator of Chesterfield Companies, where he worked tirelessly to build a successful business and support his family. Jerry was passionate about working on cars, riding motorcycles, and traveling to new places. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he loved attending games, coaching basketball, and sharing his knowledge with others. Above all, he cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren, creating memories they will hold close forever.

Jerry is preceded in death by his son Christopher Nairne and is survived by his children, Sarah (Aaron) Adkins, Jennifer (Marty) Roemmele, and Jeff (Megan) Nairne; mother of his three children, Terri; grandchildren Nora, Gavin, Camden, Logan, Austin, Brianna, Skylar, and Myles; great grandchild Scarlett and his sister Lynn DeLuca.

A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, on Friday, January 31 from 4-8pm.
