Jerome "Jerry" Engler, 69, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Hospice of Summa.
Jerry was born May 8, 1951 to Jerome and Betty (Welch) Engler in Akron and had been an area resident his entire life.
Jerry graduated from St. Vincent High School and the University of Akron. Jerry was retired from AT&T after 20 years of service. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Jerry lived life to the fullest. His passion in life were his family, friends & golf.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years and best friend, Linda; children Bryan (Kate) Engler, Missy (Dario) Urdiales, Kevin (Brianna) Engler, Tara (Andy) Kerscher and Steven (Nicole) Kulesza; grandchildren Miles and Wiley Engler, Connor, Olivia and Madison Urdiales, Luke, Sam and Allie Kerscher and Lyla and Griffin Kulesza; siblings Steve (Vivian) Engler, Ellen (Doug) Watson, Nancy (Jim) Frient and Max (Cheryl) Engler; sister-in-law Mary Jane Engler; many nieces and nephews and close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Engler and sister, Marianne Engler.
Jerry had a joke for every occasion, never met a stranger and was always kind & generous. Jerry's words:

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron OH 44319. Private Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Masks and social distancing are required and the service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/anthonyfuneralhomes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haven of Rest or to the Charity of your choice.
