Jennifer Carcione

Jennifer Elaine Carcione passed away peacefully on December 26th, 2025 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born on September 23rd 1960 in Akron, Ohio to David and Shirley Long. She attended schools in the Kenmore area for most of her life until her daddy bought a farm in Manchester, where she graduated, class of 1979. That little farm in Manchester is where she met the neighbors son, Tony, whom she married August 28, 1982. For 29 years she was a dedicated administrative assistant for Teamsters local 348 Health and welfare fund.

From the beginning, her only dream was to become a mom, and so she did. Mama's heart was bigger than her body and there was always room for everyone at her table, this included anyone who stepped foot in our house as most of our friends called her "Mama C". The greatest joy in her life was her grandchildren with whom she spent countless hours weaving her words of wisdom and sharing her faith.

The ocean was her favorite place to talk to God and thank him for all her blessings. From sun up to sun down you could find her there, and we find peace knowing her soul no longer has to leave.

She is preceded in death by her parents David and Shirley Long and her first born son Michael Carcione. She is survived by her husband of 43 years ,Tony Carcione her children Nicholas Carcione, David Carcione and Sarah (Jordan) Harris. Beloved grandchildren Isaac Carcione, Austin Carcione, Mackenzie Carcione, Zoe Carcione, Rowan Harris and Lennon Harris. Sisters Rebecca (Dan) Argenas, Rochelle (Will) Jendrisak and Kim Lappin. Many nieces and nephews and best friend Susan Hill.

To our brother Michael, take care of our precious mama, how lucky she is to have had three children to send her off and one to welcome her home. We look forward to the day we can all be together again.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd, Akron, OH 44319.
