Jennie Nero

Out of an abundance of caution, the Nero family and the funeral home have decided to cancel calling hours on Sunday, January 25 due to inclement weather. The funeral mass on Monday, January 26 at 11:00am will still take place at Queen of Heaven. The family will receive friends for one hour prior beginning at 10:00am. 

Jennie (Lettieri) Nero, 77, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, after a brief illness.

 Jennie was born February 16, 1948, to Dominic and Jane (Vigleoletti) Lettieri in Cleveland and had been an area resident her entire life.  She had a master's degree in Education and was employed by Akron Public Schools teaching severe behavioral handicap children for 25 years, retiring in 2008. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and a former member of St. Francis de Sales.
 Survived by her husband of over 53 years, David, her three sons; Steven, Paul and Jonathan (Heidi) and grandchildren Madelyn, Andrew, Owen, Jeffrey and Wyatt. She loved her family more than life itself and would do anything for them. She will be missed very much by many people and her constant companion, Bella.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monay, January 26, 2026, at 11:00am at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd., Green OH 44685. The family will receive friends for one hour prior beginning at 10:00am. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date. Full obit at Anthonyfh.com.
