IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeff M.
Venarge
February 5, 1965 – May 24, 2025
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Jeffrey M. Venarge, our son, brother, and uncle.
Jeff passed the morning of Saturday, May 24th, after a short but mighty battle with cancer.
Jeff was born on February 6th, 1965. He lived most of his life in Uniontown, Ohio. He attended and graduated from Lake schools. Above all, Jeff was an artist. He loved music and was rarely seen without his guitar. He also authored a book, The Mingwe Kyasuta, under his pen name, Basil Bachelor. Jeff had a big heart and was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. But perhaps his favorite role in life was doting uncle to his six beautiful nieces.
Jeff is preceded in death by his mom, Janet (Smith) Venarge; grandparents, Charles and Ethel Smith; and grandparents, Samuel and Elsie Venarge.
He is survived by his dad and bonus mom, David and Cheryl Venarge; sister, Susan (Venarge) Novak; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Marcy (McKeel) Venarge; bonus sister, Jennifer (Mark) DiSalvo; and his six gorgeous nieces, Sydney, Camryn and Alayna Venarge; and Abigail, Lauren and Natalie DiSalvo.
Per Jeff's wishes, a private ceremony of life with immediate family has taken place. In lieu of flowers, Jeff would request donations to two causes close to his heart: Tunnel to Towers (t2t.org) or Mount Hope Cemetery on S. Main St in Akron.
