A most beautiful loving light, with a heart of gold, Blenda (Jeannie) Bochette, 77, passed on January 16, 2021, with her best friend and sister, Shirley, by her side.
Jeannie was a hostess extraordinaire who lit up every room she entered. She was graciousness personified, and made friends easily with people from all over the world and in all walks of life that she embraced with her warm style.
Jeannie had a successful, 40-year career in New York City in the design industries, including 38 years at Steelcase where she rose to the position of Marketing Manager of Business Development. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis R. Bochette, and a devoted daughter of the late Charles and Genevieve Stump. Jeannie was predeceased by her precious infant daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth, and brothers Randall and David (Judy) Stump.
Jeannie is survived by her loving, dedicated sister Shirley Stump, brother Charles (Ann) Stump, and many relatives and friends.
A service will be held Friday, January 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, Ohio. Final resting place will be beside Louie and Jennifer Elizabeth at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44308, or your favorite charity.
Social distancing and masks will be required at Jeannie's service.
