Jean M. Butcher, 76, of Stow went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 24. Born in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Frank and Laverne Murphy, Jean has been a Stow resident for many years. She was a member of Portage Community Chapel.

Her survivors include daughters, Bonny Smith and Margaret Butcher; son Richard D. (Kim); sister, Joyce Gerda; and brother, George Pell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Butcher and daughter, Gale Rogers.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 3:00 p.m at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91) where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
