Janice Lee Vaughan Mudd, an amazing Artist, Loving Wife (Ed, deceased) Loving Mom (Jeanette, Jeff, Laura, Denny deceased, Glenn), Grandma (Jenniffer, Janet, Whitney, Chelsea, Kaitlyn, Brett, Taylor, Harlee), Great Grandma (William, Colby, Emma, Alex), and Great Great Grandma (Liam, Anastasia) has moved on to a new adventure.
During her time with us, her thirst for knowledge knew no limits, no ethnic barriers, and no age or gender boundaries. You could often hear Jan say - Knowledge Comes from Everywhere, look around, listen, be aware! From creating with oils, watercolors, chalk, and pencils to her photography to her fiber art (quilting) to her abstract collage, she loved the process of creating and helping others find and grow their own talents. If you were lucky enough to have a conversation with Jan, you soon found out she possessed a range of information that stretched from the vast knowledge she acquired by earning her BA of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico to what the
Cleveland Browns were up to! She loved to draw on life experience knowledge and all the things you absorb from your surroundings. Born in New Orleans, LA and having lived in Gallatin, TN; Pittsburgh, PA; Akron, OH; and Albuquerque, NM, Jan enjoyed meeting people and experiencing innumerable vistas. There are many of us who will miss her wit and wisdom, her laugh and smile, and her endeavor to always find the best in everyone. Jan was truly a wonderful soul.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 23, from 11 am to 12 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, followed by a Committal service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. Please wear bright, floral, and happy colors! Also, in keeping with Jan's view of life, please do something kind for someone instead of sending flowers. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, AKRON)
