Janet Santos

Janet Santos passed away peacefully in Raleigh NC on April 10, 2025. She was born in Munroe Falls Ohio on March 22, 1933. Janet and her husband Joe lived in the Cuyahoga Falls area for over 80 years prior to moving to NC to be closer to her daughter and their grandchildren.

Janet was the Matriarch of the family and frequently invited family and friends to their home for Holidays, Italian Dinners, Fish Fries or other awesome meals. She was an incredible cook and hostess. Janet and Joe spent many winters at their condo in Naples
Florida with their friends from Ohio and newly found friends from elsewhere. They were both gregarious and had a love of family, friends and good times.

Her grandchildren remember Grandma as being Loving, Huggable, Kind, compassionate, Funny, Loyal, Dedicated, Joyful, Passionate, Strong Willed, Generous and an Incredible Storyteller.

Janet and her mother-in-law Rose Santos volunteered their time and efforts to the Falls Cancer Club for several decades. She was a devout Catholic with a strong faith.

She was predeceased by husband Joe Santos, parents Frank and Gail Cook, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Frank and Sandy Santos and sister-in-law Trudy Cook.

She leaves behind brother Don Cook, daughters / husbands Cheryl and Frank Andrassy, Cathy and Jim Thompson, grandchildren and spouses / partners Amanda and Gregg Brooks, Joe and Jen Andrassy, Joshua Andrassy and Carl Taliaferro, Tiffany and Casey Vickery, great grandchildren Peyton and Savannah Brooks, Caralie and Austin Andrassy, Sophia Vickery, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill and Pat Santos and many nieces, nephews and close friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday April 25th from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Falls Chapel located at 247 Stow Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. The funeral service and mass will be on Saturday April 26th at 10 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church located at 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Graveside service will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
