Janet L. Hummel

Janet Hummel, 77, passed away on August 22, 2013.
Born in Phillipsburg, PA on February 20, 1936 to the late Charles & Josephine Harkless, Janet had been an area resident for most of her life. She was a cook for over 23 years at the French Coffee Shop in Cuyahoga Falls She loved to fish, was very funny and had a good sense of humor, but most of all, she was a good mother.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband Chester Sr. and siblings Kathleen, Charles, & Dwayne. She is survived by children Clint Jr. (Bonnie) Hummel, Bruce Hummel, Lynn Hummel, and Michelle Awalt; grandchildren Kim Klein, Helena Durachinsky, Clinton Hummel, Amber Hull, Alicia Kuntzman, Shane Sparks, Michael Santiago, Andrea Santiago, and Stephen Gumm; great-grandchildren Kylianne, Elliana, Annalise, Kennah, Ariah, Noah, James, & Michael; brothers Don (Mary), Andy (Ruth), and Mike (Barb) Harkless.
The family will receive friends on Monday, from 5-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (At 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral will take place on Tuesday, at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
