Janet Ann Hauff died May 14, 2025 at the Village of St. Edward, Fairlawn, which was her home for the last four years, and where she made many friends. She was born August 27, 1936 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Florence (Tschantz) and Ralph Hauff, who predeceased her. Surviving Janet are her sister Beverly Vorbach of Zellwood, FL and her nieces Teresa Lynn Bracewell and Tammy Ann Hollenback and their children, Matthew Zelnick,  Kristina Shoaf, Zachary Zelnick, and Kimberly Bracewell. Also surviving are devoted cousins Bill and Patti Tschantz, Carol Holec, Margaret and Phillip Handin, Barbara Rowles, Fred Hausch, Linda and Tom McNeil, Drue and Dave Fiala, Jim and Patti Tschantz, David Tschantz and their families.

Janet grew up and graduated from high school in Florida, where her family had relocated. Following her parents' deaths, she moved back to the Akron area, and enjoyed socializing with the Tallmadge Primetimers, and rediscovering her roots. She looked forward to the annual family reunion where others marveled at her prodigious memory for family history, and where she loved sharing historical pictures and other memorabilia. Janet was proud of her Swiss ancestry, and loved reminiscing about traveling to Switzerland with her parents.

Graveside services will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls Tuesday, May 20 at 2:00 PM.
