James "Phil" Skidmore, 76 passed away peacefully in his home on Nov. 13, 2015. He was born in Sutton, West Virginia on Oct 21, 1939. He was married to his wife, Twila for 55 years who proceeded him in death in June 2015. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Airforce. Phil left the Airforce and was a very successful Kirby Distributor for over 50 years. Phil and his wife retired in 1995 to their vacation home in Deland, Florida where they spent many weekends on the St John's River fishing. They resided there for 20 years before coming back in April of this year to be with their 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren. Phil was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved the outdoors. He also loved to watch football and loved the Steelers!! He will truly be missed.
Phil is survived by his children Tammie (John) Leonino of Cuyahoga Falls, Teri (Dave) Sansonetti of Wadsworth and Tricia (Matt) Hodge of Munroe Falls. Grandchildren John, Samantha, David, Anina, Maria, Maci, Rylie and Matthew.
