James Anthony Rollins

James A. M. Rollins, age 50, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

James was born on October 31, 1975, to the late Joyceann and Paul Rollins. Like his father, James was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns. He was employed as a social studies teacher, with a Master's Degree in Education earned from the University of Akron. A devout Catholic, James was a parishioner at St. Bernard's, where he served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games with his friends, and collecting and reading graphic novels in his spare time. Above all else, he was a loving father, grandfather, and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Patricia Ellen Rollins and grandson Jackson Abel Rollins. He is survived by his children Michelle Nicole (fiancé Mason Klimack), Patricia Ann and James Edward (fiancé Emily) Rollins, and their mother Kristy; grandson Robin; siblings Rebecca Clark, Elizabeth Erwin, Amy Rollins, and Adam (fiancé Deanna) Rollins; grandmother Ellen Newcomb; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 24, 2026 from 5-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Home, Akron Chapel, 1990 S Main St, in Akron. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave in Akron. Interment at All Souls cemetery in Chardon will be held at a later date.
