James Allen Liddle

James Liddle, 64, died after a courageous battle with cancer on October 27, 2026.

Jim was born in Barberton September 10, 1962 to the late Charles & Bea Liddle and was a 1980 graduate of Barberton High School. He graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in engineering. Jim worked 28 years at B&C Machine in Barberton and another 15 years for BWXT. Jim was a talented artist, musician and devoted husband. He loved hiking in the Metroparks and was a dog lover.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother Charles Liddle. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Cherie; sister Lisa Lourey; father-in-law Donald Scarbrough and sister-in-law Pam (Tom) Hull.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. The family will again receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 3, beginning at 10 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
