James G. Johnson, 89, of Akron, passed away peacefully April 8, 2020. Born in Hamilton, Ohio to Thea and Eva (Westerfield) Johnson. He was an administrator at the Cleveland Metroparks, retiring in 1992. He is survived by his wife Gloria (Norman) Johnson; step sons Joshua Sisson, Nicholas Zanko, and Patrick Zanko; sister Billie Meyer; niece Pamela (Daryl) Evans; and best friend Ronald Kupiec. A private graveside service will be held at West Richfield Cemetery in Richfield, OH. Due to the current health situation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
