James Elton Florin

James "Jef" Elton Florin, 82, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024.
Jef was born in Akron on October 11, 1942 to the late Igs and Mary Florin and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a dispatcher for Roadway Express. In his later years, Jef loved spending his days working and playing at Fox Den Fairways and Firestone Public Golf Course. He was a longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Jef is survived by his wife of 58 years, Darleen (Mollica); daughter and son-in-law Amy & Aaron Hoffman; daughter and favorite daughter-in-law Lori & Dianne Florin and grandson Alex Tiell; brother and sister-in-law Dick & Evelyn Florin; sister-in-law Kathy Sullivan; brother-in-law Al Sutter; nieces Michelle (Rick) Saunders, Maria Sutter, Gina (Glen) Hunter, Felicia (Brian) Rawlin, and Carmen (Jeff) Stokes; and several other great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister-in-law Annette Sutter and brother-in-law Mickey Sullivan.
