James L. Byrne, 84, passed away on August 26, 2023.
James was born in Cambria County, PA on April 15, 1939 to the late Herman & Theresa Byrne. Jim served his country in the US Army as a Military Police Officer in Germany near the end of the Korean War. Jim worked most of his career for Kent Machine, before retiring from Class Machine.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Patricia;siblings Patricia, Bob, Mike, Jane, & Margaret. He is survived by his sister Carole Shoemaker; children Tim (Julie), Scott (Julie), Andrew, Randall, & Jamie Sue (Jack) Nick; grandchildren Joshua (Catherine), Jessica (Will), Katlyn, Jack Anthony, Jacob, Carter, & Nathanael; great-grandchildren Madeline & Isabella.
Jim will be cremated and laid to rest, with full military honors, alongside his beloved wife at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. in Rittman on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 11:15 am.
