James Edward Adams

James Edward Adams, 70, passed away after a brief illness on July 21, 2024.
Jim was born on April 29, 1954 to the late Joseph H. & Sallie Mae Adams, and was a 1972 graduate of Kenmore High School. He worked for Ohio Edison as a surveyor for over over 25 years.
Jim is survived by his longtime friend and companion Sandra Fitzgerald; brother Garry Adams and nephew Dirk Adams; aunt Mary Thoren, along with numerous cousins. He also leaves behind Sandra's daughter Kerri (Joey) Waites and their sons Joseph, Jr., Julian & Jonah Waites, whom he loved liked grandsons.
A Special thank you to Copley Nursing Facility - Heritage Woods for the compassionate care, love, and comfort given to Jimmy during his time there.
I will miss you Jimmy. 28 years together. Rest in peace.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, Akron Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, followed by Interment with military honors at 1:45 pm, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
