Jacob Peter Rak

Jacob Peter Rak, 54, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 after a battle with cancer.

Jake, also known as Pete, was born in Akron and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Lake High School in 1988 and attended the University of Akron. He went on to work for SGS-Kyocera. Jake's greatest joy in life was his two daughters; his commitment to his family and friends was legendary.

Jake was preceded in death by his mother Katharina Amhauser. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Hollie; daughters Kadin and Ana; father Yakup "Jack" Gokbayrak; sister Ann Marie (Chris) Dickens; nephews Michael and Erik; dear friend Tom Ritzman; and other loved ones.

Friends may call on Tuesday, July 23 from 5-7PM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Ave, Uniontown OH 44685, where a service will be held at 7PM.
