Ints G. Dedzins, 92, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on January 26, 2025.
Ints was born in Talsi, Latvia on March 29, 1932 and came to the US as a young man.
He served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the United Latvian Lutheran Church of Cleveland. Ints worked in machine design at Goodyear Tire & Rubber, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed traveling, golfing with his wife, and enjoyed building Legos and doing puzzles. Ints was extremely proud of his family and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Ints is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary; his children Cynthia (Terry) Simmons and Richard (Wendy) Dedzins; grandchildren Matthew & Marianne (Paul Harper) Simmons, Krista (Sam) Gindlesberger, & Sarah Dedzins. He was preceded in death by his parents Karlis & Anna Dedzins.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, 11 am, with the family receiving friends for one hour prior at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Private Interment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church 555 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333 or to United Latvian Lutheran Church of Cleveland 15120 Detroit Ave. Lakewood, OH 44107.
