Hermine Kungl

Hermine Kungl (Mühlberg) passed away peacefully to be in the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 18, 2023, in the early hours of the morning.
Hermine was born July 8, 1928, in Kula, Yugoslavia to Peter and Magdalena (Sticksel) Mühlberg and immigrated to the United States and Akron in 1958.
Hermine was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Known by all as Oma, she was beloved by her family. Her legacy is her resilience, faith and incredible love. She enjoyed nothing more than the large meals surrounded by family telling stories of the Old Country. She was a master seamstress and incredible craftswoman. A member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus and Queen of Heaven Catholic Churches, she was a woman of immeasurable faith. She enjoyed visiting St. Jospeh Grotto and took joy in being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ferdinand; twin sons Peter and Frank, her angels; sister Barbara (Adolf, d.) Kirschig and her parents.
Hermine leaves behind her sons Albert (Roseanne) and Fred (Jacqueline) Kungl; sister-in-law Mary Hehn, Theresa Ludwig, Rose Kern and Eva Kresse; grandchildren Christian (Sandra) Kungl, Brian Kungl, Jason (Jessica) Kungl, Tanya (Chris) Moorehead, Jessica (Michael) Kaisk, and Fred (Leslie) Kungl; and 12 great grandchildren.
Hermine's family is grateful to the staffs at Greenview Assisted Living and Crossroads Hospice for their wonderful care.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Entombment followed at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Holy Cross Cemetery.
