Harry William Thomas

Harry W. 'Tip' Thomas, 76, passed away surrounded by family on August 18, 2024.
Harry was born on March 24, 1948 in Akron to the late Harry S. & Mary E. Thomas. He was a 1967 graduate of Stow High School. He was a member of the Painter's Union Local #841 & was a Business Representative for the IUPAT District Council #6. He was a Catholic convert & devoted member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish for over 30 years. Harry loved traveling and going to the beach. He loved music and going to car shows. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Barbara & Richard McMillin and sister Elizabeth 'Betty' Ferrante; niece Mary Brady. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara; his children Drew (Jennifer) Thomas & Kathryn (Bill) Miller; grandchildren Jack Thomas, Stefanie Jones, Abigail (Neale) Whitehead; great-grandchildren William & Lily.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 23, from 4-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. in the Falls. The family will again receive friends on Saturday, August 24, from 10-11 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls.
