Harold 'Beeb' Paul Keeling
Harold 'Beeb' Keeling, 91, passed Monday June 10, 2024. Beeb was born on June 27, 1932 in Akron, and lived his whole life in the Akron area. He married the love of his life, Mary Lou Keeling, December 11, 1955. They were married for 53 years before her passing in 2009. Beeb and Mary Lou owned and operated the family business, Bories Bowland in Akron. Later, Beeb worked at Chase Bank and Toth Buick. Beeb served in the US Army stationed in Japan during the Korean War. In addition to being an avid bowler, he was also a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, godfather, uncle, nephew and cousin to his family. The family would like to give a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice nurses Asley, Miranda and Candis, aide Jeri, social worker Maria and chaplain Dave, and all others that wonderfully cared for him, along with the staff of Autumnwood Nursing facility who treated him wonderfully during his final days under hospice care.
Beeb was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Bertha Keeling; brother, Kenneth Keeling; wife, Mary Lou (Mitseff) Keeling. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Everyone will miss his wonderful sense of humor, even during his last days. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Brett Scott of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughters, Brittany Scott of Nicholasville, KY and Michelle Scott of Columbus, OH; sister, Barbara Witzberger; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Sheri Keeling; goddaughters, Alison Byers and Heather Lucas; and many wonderful nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 at 1pm at Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St, with Chaplain David Hartstein officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends and family may call Monday, from 11am to 1pm prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southern Care Hospice.
