Geraldine Marie Nemeth (Gerry), of Canal Fulton, Ohio, passed away on September 29, 2026, at Summa Barberton Hospital. Born Geraldine Marie Stalter on October 12, 1933, in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Stalter. The youngest of a large family, Gerry grew up in Akron and went on to build a life centered on faith, family, and devotion to those she loved.

Gerry shared her early life with her first husband, Patrick Blanc and their five children. She later married Arthur "Art" Nemeth, with whom she shared many joyful years traveling the world, appreciating its many sights and cultures.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, Geraldine is survived by her husband, Arthur Nemeth, children, Patrick Blanc (Carlotta), Michael Blanc (Gail), Eugene Blanc (Lisa), Joseph Blanc (Gail), and Lisa Deger (Dean), along with her stepdaughter, Beth Rhoads (Kenneth). Her family grew to include 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, along with countless nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Gerry graduated from St. Mary's High School in Akron, Class of 1951. Throughout her working years, she served as a homemaker and worked as a production controller for Rockwell International and Meyers Industries. She lived in Akron for 24 years, Coventry for 33 years, and Canal Fulton for the past 35 years, making a home and building memories in each community.

A devoted member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Coventry, Gerry lived her faith through prayer, charity, and the example she set for her children and others. She was happy, kind, attentive, and reliable. An avid reader, she enjoyed the quiet pleasures of books, church life, and along with Art, dining, dancing and entertaining friends.

Family was always at the heart of Gerry's life. She cherished the annual Christmas celebrations that brought the entire family together, along with family reunions that strengthened the bonds between generations. She passed her faith on to her children and led by shining example to all who knew her.

At a recent family celebration, Gerry pointed around the family and told a granddaughter, "When I go to Heaven, I will tell God how good you all are." Those words reflect the love she held for her family and the faith that sustained her throughout life.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Stalter; and her siblings, Thomas Stalter; Mary Musser; Joseph Stalter; Sister Francine Stalter; Robert Stalter; Irene Kouri; Beth Mason; beloved sister-in-law, Janet LaFollette; grandson, Eric Raines and great grandson, Brandon Spencer Ross.

The family is grateful for the many relatives and friends who, throughout Gerry's lifetime, called on her, supported her, and became part of her marvelous story.
