Geraldine Marie Kansa

Geraldine, (Gerry), Marie Kansa of Akron, Ohio has joined the lord and

her husband Michael R Kansa on March 3rd, 2026.

Born in Youngstown on September 24th 1940, daughter of Steve and

Helen Tkach, sister of Raymond and wife Susan. She leaves behind her

two married sons, Robert and Mary kansa, and Dave and Judy Kansa. her

family includes married grandchildren Geoffrey and Ashleigh Kansa, and

Alexander and Kerrie Kansa, along with great grandchildren, Eleanor,

Stephen and James.

Gerry graduated from Ursaline high in 1958 and got married in 1961. As

well and being a wife and mother, she worked several secretarial positions

and finally as a manager at Sterling in Akron until her retirement in 2006.

Gerry was very active in her Church St Francis de Sales of Akron, and as a

regional Avon Products representative. Gerry also served her community

working local voting poles, and with the Tudor House of the Portage

Lakes. She enjoyed a bit of adventure going on a cruise and and trips to

points across the country with her family Dave and Judy. Her home of 60

years is now lovingly owned by her grandchild Geoffrey, wife and great

grandchild. Gerry and Mike leave behind a legacy of love and a

compassionate family.
