Gerald Emery Cordi

Gerald Emery Cordi, 88, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024 at Akron General Medical Center.

He was born in Newberg, West Virginia and retired from Roadway after 35 years of service. Gerald was a member of Brown Street Church of Christ in Akron and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving 4 years during the Post Korean Conflict Era. He loved a good Baseball game, Old Western Shows and Horses, Singing, Helping Out Loved Ones, Pepsi, Pizza, and Sweets.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Wilene Cordi last April; and daughter, Jennifer. He is survived by his brother-in-law, William Stout; sister-in-law, Jackie Scott; daughters, Kristal and Stefanie Cordi; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff Cordi and Sharon Lehto; granddaughter, Olivia (Danzig) Roberts; great-grandson, Finn Roberts; as well as many family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 20, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
