George Dura Vizmeg, 75 born in Irig Yugoslavia September 16, 1939 resident of Stow, Ohio, passed away May 23, 2015. He passed away suddenly in the presence of his wife and children. George was preceded in death by his parents Dura and Elizabeth Vizmeg. He is survived by his wife Zuska of 50 years, sons: Karl and Toby (Heather), daughter: Jessika (Andrew), grandchildren: Nikolas, Jonny, Alek, Joey and Maya, brothers: Mike (Anna), Joe (Kathy) and Alex (Bistra), numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and extended family in Australia, Croatia, Hungary, and Serbia.George came to this country in 1972 to achieve a better life for kids. He worked multiple jobs, retiring after 25 years from Akron Equipment and running Vizmeg and Sons Landscape. He had a passion for his extensive garden, fruit trees, bee keeping, sausage and wine making. George enjoyed celebrating life with his friends and family in his garage. He inspired many lives with is hard work ethic.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Stow Chapel (3333 Kent Rd. at Rt. 91) where funeral services will take place on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Silver Springs Cemetery.
