George Ernest Myatt Born October 12th 1933 in Nova Scotia, Canada. He went to be with the Lord at 87 years-of-age on February 26, 2021. He lived for 61 years in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio with his wife Celesta Myatt after a 62 year marriage. He died after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was a veteran of the Army serving in peace-time operations just after World War ll, and an alum of Eastern Nazarene University. He worked as a barber and long-time business owner of the Patio barber shop, ultimately changing its name to Whisker's Barber Shop. He provided a solid foundation of community and family. He is survived by his wife, his five children: Steve, David, Daniel, Richard, and Cheryl. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place on Sunday, March 7, at 2 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel 247 Stow Ave (at 3rd. St., one block north of Portage Trail in) Cuyahoga Falls, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Social distancing protocols will be in effect.
