George Edmond Mills

-GREEN George Mills, 84, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017. Born in Akron on November 15, 1932 to the late George Sr. & Florence Mills, George had grown up in the Portage Lakes and had been a Green resident for over 40 years. He worked as a machinist for over 60 years for various local companies. He was a founding member of the Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church in Springfield Twp. where he served as an usher and was a member of the Holy Name Society. George is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Clarice; son and daughter-in-law Jeff & Debbie Mills & daughter and son-in-law Lori & Larry Cook; grandson Andrew Mills and his fiancee Kylie Mitchell; brothers and sisters-in-law Rev. John & Carol & Rev. Charles & Judy Mills, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Last but not least, George is survived by his dog Libby. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Zachary Kawalec on Monday, March 6 at 11 am, at Nativity of the Lord Catholic Church 2425 Myersville Road Akron, OH, 44312, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church (Anthony GREEN Chapel)
