George Bursan, 95, fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
He was born in Warren, Ohio and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. George was a member of Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church where he served as Subdeacon, Cantor, Choir Member, Fish Fry Worker and Catering Secretary and Treasurer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anica; and sister, Mary Parker. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, David Bursan and Peter and Kitty Bursan; grandchildren, Ryan (Breanna) Mize and Talisha Mize; and great-grandchildren, Zariah and Zaxton.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Presentation of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 3365 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where he will lie in state one hour prior to service. Masks and Social Distancing Required. Very Rev. Dr. Ian G. Pac-Urar officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. AT THE CHURCH where a Saracusta service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the church. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
