George Frank Balogh

George F. Balogh, 76, passed away surrounded by family on July 9, 2024.
George was born on July 4, 1948 in Lorain, OH to the late George & Jean Balogh and graduated from Amherst Steele High School in 1966. He was a graduate of the University of Akron. He worked as a research chemist for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for over 55 years and held multiple patents. George was a parishioner of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. George loved golfing, Cleveland sports, and spending time with family and friends.
George is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Judy; his children Kevin (Stephanie) and Rebecca (Jason) Gates; grandchildren Alex & Josh Balogh and Natalie & Valerie Gates; brother Jim (Jane) Balogh, nieces & nephews, coworkers, fellow golfers, & friends from the Arlington Meadows neighborhood.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 14, 1-3 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd. (Entrance off of Steese Rd.) The family will again receive friends on Monday, July 15, 10 am, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church 1800 Steese Rd. in Green, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.
