George Russell Ballard finally got to join Buddy Rich and his band May 4, 2015. George was a carpenter, painter of landscapes and especially a talented drummer. He leaves behind to mourn his loss his wife of 28 years, Dorothy ( Dottie ) brothers Jim (Georgann), Mark (Diana) mother in law Mary Moore, brother in law Ralph (Nikki) Moore, sister in law Denise, special aunt Katherine, his Sainato extended family, many cousins, nieces and nephews. And Zippy the wonder dog. He was preceded in death by mother, Inez (Ballard) Sainato, father James, sisters Naomi and Theresa, step dad and punster in arms Nick Sainato.
