Obituary

Gary Quintrell, a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Gary received his wings on October 21,2023, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

Gary was born on March 8, 1948, to his loving parents Ina (Loftis) and Dorse Quintrell. Throughout his life, Gary was a pillar of strength and compassion, always putting the needs of others before his own. His warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many.

On October 17,1983, Gary married the love of his life, Sue (Labay) Quintrell. Together for 46 years, their love and devotion were an inspiration to all who witnessed it. Their two children Ashley(Rocky), Dylan(Kelly) and grandkids, Rylie, Geno, Dominic, Paizlee, and his "fur ball" Jersey held a very special place in Gary's heart. Special memories of road trips, West Virginia reunions, camping & fishing times, metro park walks, reruns of the Andy Griffith show, as well as the Chipotle trip phone calls, and their speaker phone calls filled with jokes, funny stories, and reminiscing about "the old days."

As a retiree from Firestone Country Club, Gary loved to visit his son Dylan and daughter-in-law Kelly in Florida, go fishing, tend to his garden, visit his sister Sissy(Doreen) and Dennis Stump, family get togethers with Pat, Polly(Roger), Mike(Debbie), Ruthy, and so many other family members.

Gary will be remembered for his genuine kindness, his unwavering love for his family and friends, his funny stories, his jokes, his contagious laugh, and his zest for life. His legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. Gary hated dress clothes and requested everyone come in their everyday, comfortable clothes.
