Gary K. Gottschalk

Gary K. Gottschalk, 74 passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Sharon, Pennsylvania and was an independent insurance adjustor for over 40 years. He was a longtime and active member of the Lions Club International and a member of the Green Chamber of Commerce. His life was always about putting his family first. He was a people person who never met a stranger.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Florence (Heintz) Gottschalk. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Karen K. (Kiser) Gottschalk; daughters, Robin (Al) Fleming, Paula (Steven) Tharp and Megan (fiancé, Brian Musci) Gottschalk; honorary children, Pamela and William Brown; brothers, Glenn (Susan) and Gregory (Roberta) Gottschalk; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Philip and Robyn Marie Kiser; grandchildren, Sasha and Genia Fleming, Bailey and Josie Musci and Steven, Jr., Cody, Chad and Courtney Tharp; honorary grandchildren, Gregory and Gerrit Kenepp; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301. The family will receive friends Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. (Kucko-Anthony- Kertesz Chapel, Akron)
