Frieda E. (Dewey) Newberry

Frieda E. Newberry, 96, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 17, 2022.
Frieda was born in Madison, Ohio to the late Elsie & Harold Dewey and grew up in Perry/Madison area. She met Jack Newberry and fell in love over Barberton Chicken, marrying in 1969. Frieda enjoyed bowling and she was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. She collected and organized thousands of recipes, which is a different hobby than cooking. Frieda was a wonderful wife, aunt, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, Frieda was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Newberry; and twin sister Florence Dewey. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Crofoot; brother-in-law Joe (Judith) Newberry; and a host of nieces, nephews and great and nieces and nephews, and she especially loved her double and triple greats Jack, Elsie and Easton.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 21 from 11AM-1PM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon & Steese Roads, entrance off of Steese), where a funeral service will be held at 1PM. Burial at East Liberty Cemetery.
