Frederick Dale Riley

Frederick "Fred" Dale Riley, 82, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away on April 14th, 2026 at Danbury Woods Memory Care, where he had been lovingly cared for. He was born on May 11th, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to George and Merna Riley.

Fred spent most of his career at Castle Metals and enjoyed hiking, birding, golfing and college basketball. He was known for his fun-loving spirit and his ability to tell a great joke or story. His family and friends will remember him as a caring husband and father who brought warmth and humor to every room.

He is survived by his wife, Verna Caporaletti‑Riley; his sons Timothy, Stephen, and Michael; Michael's wife, Caitrina; and his brother, George "Ted" Riley. He was preceded in death by his sisters Judith Fisher and Sally Trivisonno.

The family will receive friends on Friday April 17, from 5-7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home - Falls Chapel 247 Stow Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls. A funeral will take place on Saturday, April 18, 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Gardens in Cuyahoga Falls.
