Fred J. Parks, 84, passed away on October 8, 2023. Born in Barberton to Fred and Virginia (Brennan) Parks, Fred grew up in Kenmore with his seven siblings, Carol Oziomek, Virginia Starcher, Kathleen Butcher, Michael, John "Chip", Thomas and Patrick He was retired from Yellow Freight. During his retirement Fred enjoyed spending time with his wife, Bonnie, and family. He especially enjoyed traveling.
Fred was very proud of his Irish Heritage and was a long time member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie, he is survived by daughters, Veronica (Bruce) Hamed, Nichole (Dale) Parks-Norris, son, Dennis (Jeannine) Parks; stepson, Daniel (Margi) Gurley; grandchildren, Jacob, Jamie, Taylor (Dustin), McKenzie, and Sydney.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.) and on Friday from 10:30 to Mass time at 11:00 at Queen of Heaven Church (1800 Steese Rd., City of Green). Everyone is welcome to join the men and women of the Ancient Order of Hibernians for the recitation of the Rosary at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday night at the funeral home.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery following Mass. The family asks that you join them at The Hibernian Club, 2000 Brown St, for a wake/celebration of life following burial.
