Frank Joseph Long

Frank J. Long, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2013 in Barberton, Ohio.
Frank was born in Akron, Ohio, February 12, 1927, to Frank and Mary Long. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII in the Pacific Theater. Frank married his wife, Martha (Sparky) in 1950. He was co-proprietor of Long Printing with his older brother, John, from 1946 to 1999. He worked for Securitas as the night watchman for the Kent water treatment plant for the last 12 years.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Long, and sisters Elsie Salitore, Kate McGuire, Martha Giacobone, and Lucy Sabino. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha Long: sons Vince (Marcie), Mike (Carol), and Christopher (Silvia); sister Teresa (Frank) Ninni and brother David Long: grandchildren Jonathan (Iris) Long, Anna (Steve) Wilkins, Sarah (Nate) Winston, Shelly (Nick) Thompson, September, David, Timothy, Caroline, Carlton, Christopher, Jamie, and David Long; great-grandchildren, Michael Wilkins and Elaina Thompson; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends TOMORROW from 2 to 5 P.M. at the Anthony Funeral Home, KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 South Main St in Akron. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Rich Messenger officiating. Burial following at OWRNC. Visitation Sunday, February 2 from 2 to 5 PM. Funeral Service Monday, February 3 at 10:30AM, at the funeral home. Burial to follow at OWRNC.
