Frank Nicholas Butera

Frank Nicolas Butera of Akron, Ohio passed away on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at the age of 75 after fighting a courageous battle of lung cancer.

Frank was born August 21, 1948 to Frank and Grace (Reese) Butera in Akron and the world became a kinder place. He lived in the area most of his life. Frank was a Father, Son, Brother, Husband, Uncle and a Friend to many! He was known in Akron for his carpet laying skills and was often requested. He trained many young men in the trade.

In his earlier years he motor crossed and had a love for motorcycles. You can say that when you met Frank, you liked him instantly. Frank was kind, generous, and honest and had the biggest heart. His sense of humor and his easy going attitude was infectious. He wasn't easily angered and was able to let things roll off his back and let things be just as they were. He will be deeply missed and cherished.

He is survived by his daughters who will miss him tremendously, Jill Butera (John Patrick), Samantha Butera (John Royer). The apple of his eye granddaughters, Juliana and Jada Patrick. Patricia Fuhrman, ex-wife and mother of his children, they remained friends even after they went their separate ways.

His dear and loving sister, whose entire family was there for him anytime, anyplace, anywhere. Elaine (Patrick) Ferguson, beloved nephews, Frank (Sherrill) Ferguson, Patrick (Liz) Ferguson, John (Christy) Ferguson. Beloved nieces, Michelle (Thomas) Anderson, Angie (Jason) Horton, Tessa Butera and her daughter Abigail. We can't forget his favorite dog Butch, what a stinky one he was LOL, and his best buddies, Gary Collins, Gary Price and Doug Clute and many more friends that were always by his side through good times and bad.

He was proceeded in death by his sisters, Mary Butera and Jackie Lichtenberger and brother, John Butera.

Nephews, Johnny Butera, Tommy Butera and Great Nephew Jacob Ferguson.
