Frances Irene Haid

Frances Irene Haid (nee Marchand), lovingly known as Franny, age 78, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away October 23, 2026. Born and raised in Cuyahoga Falls, and a 1966 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, Fran was a lifelong resident of the community she called home.
Franny worked for 31 years in the cafeteria at Cuyahoga Falls High School. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and St. Joseph Parish.
Fran was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Catherine (Burton) Marchand; sisters Theresa Marchand, Denise Dunn, and Kathleen Walton and son-in-law Robert Mee. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years William Haid; children Jo Anna Mee and William (Kristin) Haid, Jr.; grandchildren Robert and Andrew Mee and Brendan and Allison Haid; sisters Marie (Bob) Salisbury, Mary (Gregory) Arndt, Cindy (Patrick) Kostalnick, and Gretchen (Edward) Packer, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, Fran's legacy lives on through the family she loved, the memories she created, and the traditions that will continue to bring generations together. Her greatest legacy was not simply the traditions she started, but the love that will keep them alive.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 27, from 5-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home - Falls Chapel (formerly McGowan-Reid & Santos) 247 Stow Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 28, 10:00 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will follow at Chestnut Hill Memorial Gardens.
