Floyd Drummond (Hometown, Lil Brother) was 76 years young. His sun rose on May 26, 1946, and his sun suddenly set on February 21, 2023.
Floyd was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio. He retired from the Brick Yard. He had a love for the blues, the Perry Mason show, Western shows, and watching the sorry ass Browns (in his voice). He loved everyone. Every chance he had he tried his best to make you laugh, gave you a hard time, and made sure you left with a smile. He never met a stranger.
Floyd is preceded in death by his grandmother Mary Cole, parents Floyd and Ruby Drummond, son Wilby, brothers Jimmy Lee and Eddie, sisters Rita, Hattie Mae, Aretha, and Betty Ann. He is also preceded in death by his best friend Eddie Ford and special friend Ida Drummond, as well as many other family members and friends.
Floyd leaves to forever cherish his loving memory his wife Gisele Drummond, his children Margie (Albert) Turner, James (Alma) Drummond, Terrell Duncan, Claudia (Arthur) McCullough, Juwan (Latoya) Coates, Shequielle Drummond, his sister Linda Jo (Jim) Hosell. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as extended family Sandy Duncan, Loretta Murphy, Willy, Clay, Ed Lott, Susie Clark, Patricia Howell, and Chanelle Chandler.
