Florence Anna Baker

Florence Anna Baker, 81, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Hospice Care Center.
Florence was born March 26, 1936 to James Daniel and Dorothy (Gunyan) Jones in Akron and had been an Akron resident her entire life. She was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was known for her cinnamon rolls and a collector of anything to do with cardinals.
Florence is survived by her husband Carl; sons Vince and Richard Baker; sister Carolyn Rorar sister-in-law Mary (Paul) McKenzie; brother-in-law Harold (Martha) Baker; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Jones.
The family will receive friends Tuesday 4 to 7 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron OH 44301. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2100 16th Street SW, Akron OH 44314. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immaculate Conception Church. (Anthony, AKRON)
