Evelyn J. Smith

Evelyn J. Smith, 95, passed away on June 6, 2022.
Evelyn was born in Reading, PA on September 16, 1926 and had been an Akron & Barberton area resident since 1965. She worked as a claims processor for Travelers Insurance, as well as Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. and AETNA Ins. Co. Evelyn was a faithful member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church in Norton, where she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and the church choir.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her son Douglas. She is survived by her sons Harold (Jane), Ronald, & Mark (Diane) Smith; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, June 10, at 11:00 am at St. Matthew E.L. Church 5451 South Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Norton, OH 44203, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. A private interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery in Reading, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Evelyn's memory to the church.
