Eva Tilenni, 99, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2023.
Eva was born on May 7, 1923 to the late Frank & Theresa Varca. She was a graduate of East High School. She worked for Goodyear building the Corsair as a 'Rosie the Riveter' during WWII. After the war, she and her sisters ran their own beauty shop, before Eva married her beloved husband Tony on April 22, 1950. Eva was a longtime faithful parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church and was currently a Parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Tallmadge. She was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3410 Ladies Auxiliary, as well as the St. Paul Ladies Guild. Eva loved bowling, family picnics & casino trips.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Tony; son, Carl; granddaughter, Tiffany Tilenni, as well as 5 siblings. She is survived by children, April Marino, Frank (Chris) Tilenni & Anthony (Linda) Tilenni; daughter-in-law, Gloria Tilenni; 11 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 3-6 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 6, 11 am at St. Paul Catholic Church 1580 Brown St. in Akron. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial in her memory to the Tiffany Tilenni Memorial Scholarship by visiting any PNC Bank. (Anthony, AKRON)
