Eva Anne Gentile

Eva Anne Gentile passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at her home.
Eva was born in Barberton on September 7, 1924 to Frank and Katherine (Bosanic) Gazafi. She had been a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Eva enjoyed bingo and gardening. She looked forward to her bus trips to Mountaineer and Windsor. She took fifty dollars and when that was gone she quit until next time.
Eva was preceded in death by husband Armand in 1988; daughter Diane Kandes; and siblings Frank, Dorothy and Katherine. She is survived by son Jim; son-in-law John Kandes; sisters Marian Simone and Sabina Shoyat; grandchildren Brian (Carrie) Kandes, Dena (Luke) Grable, Shanna (Jason) Davis and Angela Kandes; and great-grandchildren Drew and Dylan Kandes and Haleigh Davis.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St., Akron. A remembrance service will take place Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. (Anthony, Akron, anthonyfh.com, 330-724-1281)
