Ethel (Fekete) Thompson

Ethel Thompson, 91, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 8, 2023.

Ethel was born in Akron to the late Albert and Barbara Fekete and was a lifelong area resident. She was a proud daughter of Hungarian immigrants, and her father was the founder of the Hungarian Magyar Home. Ethel attended the Chapel in Akron and volunteered for Green Good Neighbors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald; and daughter Pandie Johnson. She is survived by her sons Donald (Deb), Tim, Dwayne (Lisa); grandchildren Kristie (Mo) Banks, Justin Thompson, Tiff (Dan) Brock, Donald III (Anna) Thompson, Lee (Carrie) Thompson, Nick (Shelly) Thompson, Brittany (Joe) Gast, and Blair (Jessica), Bryce, & Blake Thompson; 18 great-grandchildren; niece Barb Ochs; and many other loved ones.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15 from 10-11AM at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese), where a funeral service will be celebrated at 11AM.
